Ghosts in Armour

As one of the largest employers in the Newport area, Acorn prides itself on supporting a large variety of sporting, charitable and cultural initiatives in the city.

We are therefore delighted to be a supporter of a unique and exciting artistic project to be launched in Newport on 6th September.

‘Ghosts in Armour' combines artists and collaborators with past employees and neighbours of the Whiteheads Steelworks site. It captures a unique reference of the current environment and the changing relationship of its heritage before it is lost to the regeneration currently undergoing within the City.

With accessibility to all being a core principle of the project, Ghosts will exist on both the physical and virtual realms. Alongside the exhibition that opens at The Riverfront in Newport on the 6th of September organisers will be launching a uniquely interactive virtual experience to further extend and enhance the artistic and social explorations of the project.

As a company with its roots in Newport, Acorn is proud to support an event paying tribute to an industry which has done so much for the development of the area and community.

We hope that our local clients, candidates and partners will be able to enjoy Ghosts in Armour Apparently with family and friends from 6th September to 17th October, 2008.  For further details please visit www.ghostsinarmour.com.
