Acorn, the leading Wales-based recruitment and training specialist, has clinched a Top 10 spot for the first time in the UK's prestigious rankings of leading recruitment companies.
Acorn, which posted a record turnover of more than £38m in 2004/05, has been named the 9th most successful recruitment agency in the UK in servicing public sector clients.

In a double boost for the company, Acorn has also moved up 10 places in the UK's consolidated list of Top 250 agencies, from 89th to 79th position, one of only a handful of companies across the UK to have jumped so many places. Acorn is also the only Welsh agency in the Top 100, emphasising its position as the leading agency in Wales.

The rankings have been calculated by Recruitment International, the UK-wide trade publication, whose Annual Top 100 Report is regarded as the definitive guide within the industry.
Acorn currently has branches throughout Wales; with sites in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Blackwood and Wrexham.
Further afield, Acorn is found in Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh, helping create a business that enjoyed a £38.5m turnover for 2004/05, and employing approximately 250 staff.
