Acorn subsidiary shortlisted for recruitment awards

karen sharpin 037Leading West Country recruitment agency Concept Staffing – the subsidiary of UK recruitment and training company Acorn – was shortlisted in the annual Jobsite RecruitRank Awards 2010.

Recognising best practice and quality customer service in recruitment agencies, the awards are the only ones in the industry where finalists and winners are chosen by feedback from candidates and not a panel of industry judges.

Concept was nominated in the Best Understanding of Candidate Needs, Best Industry Knowledge, and Best Recruiter categories for the high volume Jobsite user.

Acorn’s Group Marketing Director, Dan Langford said: “We were delighted to be recognised by our customers and job-seekers for the work that we do. By having our Concept brand, which is the leading indigenous recruiter across the South West, shortlisted for three different awards, it demonstrates how much focus we place on providing an exemplary service.

“As the Jobsite RecruitRank Awards are decided wholly by candidates and people looking for work, it is testament to the fact that we are doing a good job and continue to respond to our customers’ changing expectations.

“The nominations are a real credit to our staff and the admirable way they manage their business relationships.”

The Jobsite’s RecruitRank service allows candidates to feedback anonymously on the quality of an agency’s service, after they have applied for a vacancy advertised by them on Jobsite. The finalists within each category of the awards were selected through a culmination of this feedback from candidates over a 12-month period.

Commenting on the awards, Keith Potts, CEO of Jobsite says: “In a year where businesses have been focusing on recovering from the economic climate, it’s great to see that recruiters’ attention to customer service has remained a high priority; especially when dealing with an increased volume of candidates.

The finalists of the RecruitRank Awards were those agencies that have given candidates a great experience by making job hunting a little easier and less frustrating – both of which are the underlying objectives of Jobsite and RecruitRank. It was great to see some familiar names in the finalist list, retaining their high standards of customer service, but even better to see the amount of new recruiters excelling.”

The Acorn Group finds jobs for up to 5,000 temps with more than 850 different clients each week, and also delivers training to more than 3,000 individuals and makes 1,500 permanent placements every year.
