LEADING West Country recruitment specialist Concept Staffing, which is part of the Acorn Group, has won a major contract with the Cornwall-based manufacturer Fitzgerald Lighting. Concept’s Truro branch beat three other recruitment companies to win the contract to supply the lighting company with their temporary staffing needs.
The initial four-month contract will see Concept supply Fitzgerald Lighting, which has its headquarters in Bodmin, with assemblers and production operatives from the local area.
Tim Fitzgerald from Fitzgerald Lighting, said: “We were impressed with Concept Staffing as it was clear that they were prepared to go that "extra mile" for us.”
The Fitzgerald Lighting contract is the latest in a series of recent Concept successes which include a deal worth £3m to supply staff to Teignbridge District Council, South Hams District Council and West Devon Borough Council over three years.
Concept Staffing Area Sales Manager Donna Barnes said: “We are very proud to be working with Fitzgerald Lighting.
“We hope to extend the current contract, which will take us up to Christmas, and long into 2010.”
Concept operates from 13 locations throughout the South West. As part of the Acorn Recruitment Group, the company finds jobs for up to 6,000 temps with more than 850 different clients each week.
Acorn recently announced the purchase of new national technical Exxell – formerly Oracle Global Resourcing – adding an additional £14m of revenue to the Group.
