Promotion for Concept’s Karen
Leading West Country recruitment specialist Concept Staffing has appointed a new divisional manager to help expand and develop the business.
Karen Sharpin began with the company as a recruitment consultant at the Concept branch in Taunton 11 years ago.
She went on to work for the company in a number of roles and locations, including technical consultant in Taunton, branch manager in Exeter, area sales manager for Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire and permanent recruitment manager for all Concept’s branches from Wiltshire to Cornwall before being asked to lead the expansion and development of the business as divisional manager.
In her new position, Karen, 36, who lives in Bideford, will be in charge of all 15 of Concept’s branches in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Wiltshire.
Based at the Concept Staffing head office in Barnstaple, she will also be responsible for the training and development of the company’s 60-strong workforce and ensure the business achieves the group’s objectives.
Karen said: “I am passionate about what I do, and have clear goals that I want to achieve in the year ahead; ensuring that Concept Staffing continues to be the employer of choice, the best in its field and overall the leading South West recruitment agency.”
Celebrating more than 20 years in business, Concept Staffing finds jobs for up to 1,000 people with more than 500 different clients each week. They turn over £16 million annually and have recently become part of the Acorn Group.
