Fundraising Concept for Wiltshire Air Ambulance
Vital rescue workers in Wiltshire not only had a hearty breakfast cooked for them recently, but also received a meaty cheque from Concept Staffing consultant Lisa-Marie Duffy.
Lisa-Marie is a senior consultant for Concept , the leading recruitment provider in the South West. Last month she donned her chef hat and apron to cook a sponsored breakfast for the eleven-strong team, and last week presented them with a cheque for £237.
The air ambulance, which was set up in 1990 is entirely dependent on public support and was recently under threat of closure. Thankfully a new five year contract has been awarded, but £350,000 still needs to be raised each year towards the running cost.
Lisa-Marie, who works at Concept’s Chippenham branch said: “At Concept we have a strong commitment to our community. The Wiltshire Air Ambulance does a great deal locally - from assisting injured people and dealing with traffic accidents, to helping the police find missing persons and arresting criminals.
“I have been recruiting for Great Western Ambulance Service (GWAS) since I joined Concept two years ago. The candidates I have successfully placed with them do a great job and regularly go beyond the call of duty.
“The sponsored breakfast was fun, but there was also a serious message, and we’re glad we could help.”
