Acorn's training delivery categorised as ‘Excellent’
Leading recruitment and training specialist Acorn has received an ‘Excellent’ grade for both its self assessment report (SAR) and quality development plan (QDP) by the Welsh Assembly Government Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS).
The two essential schemes form part of the quality management system that every provider of further education, work-based learning and community learning must complete annually.
The Welsh Assembly Government brought self assessment into force in April 2004 to be used in conjunction with inspections by the regional Learning Provision Team, completion and attainment by learners, customer satisfaction and value for money.
The report said: “The provider has been responsive to feedback from DCELLS, is addressing the ESTYN recommendations…and continues to implement systems to improve its quality assurance process and improve attainment. A categorisation of excellent is appropriate.”
Commercial Director for Acorn, Sarah John, said: “We are delighted to have received this grade which truly represents the hard work and commitment we put in to our training services.”
