Cardiff Devils recruit Acorn support for new season

One of the UK’s leading recruitment and training agencies Acorn has thrown its support behind the Cardiff Devils for the ice hockey club’s new season which starts next month (AUG).
The company which has office throughout the UK and finds work for thousands of people each week, has signed a new sponsorship agreement with the Devils.
Dan Langford, Group Marketing Director at Acorn, said: “We have supported the Devils in a number of ways over the years, most recently as the club’s first ever Community Foundation Partner, which gave us the opportunity to promote the club’s exciting development programme for children to learn and take part in the sport.
“Our new sponsorship agreement will allow us to continue to support the Devils in their ambitious vision for and future of the club, which continues to be an important player in the local community.”
Devils Director of Hockey, Shannon Hope, said: “Acorn’s support for us has and continues to be very important. It is crucial for local organisations to support each other, and the value of corporate involvement in ensuring our success cannot be underestimated.
”Acorn is one of a number of reputable businesses that have chosen to continue their commercial involvement with the club for an additional year.”
Acorn is no stranger to working within communities. It was the first business in Wales to become a Corporate Patron of the NSPCC, is involved in the Million Makers project for the Prince’s Trust, and across the country the company, which is one of Wales’ best-known brands, also supports a variety of community sports activities.
The company has recently opened a new office in the heart of Cardiff city centre, specialising in industrial, office and events recruitment. More than 400 temporary staff are supplied every day from the Cardiff office to businesses across the capital, Caerphilly, the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend.
Mr Langford added: “As one of the UK's leading recruitment and training agencies we are fully-engaged with communities right across the UK. We place up to 5,500 workers into temporary assignments for up to 750 different companies each week, as well as completing 1,500 permanent placements annually and delivering training to almost 3,000 individuals each year.”
