Acorn asks South Wales businesses to Go Commando
One of the UK’s leading recruitment and training providers, Acorn, is calling on local companies, organizations and individuals to get involved with their charitable military challenge ‘Go Commando’.
The fundraiser, open to businesses and clubs in *Newport*, will support the Prince’s Trust which raises money for local and national charities, and will involve teams of four completing an assault course and group activities such as tug of war. Taking place at the Beachley Barracks in Chepstow on 16th October, companies have only a few weeks left to enter their teams and raise the £250 sponsorship required to take part.
Mark Rudge, Acorn’s Key Contracts Manager, said: “Go Commando will not only raise money for a worthwhile cause, but it’s also an excellent way for businesses and individuals to develop skills such as leadership, negotiation, confidence, team-working, planning and decision-making. As we will have several organisations taking part it will also allow opportunities to network in an informal environment.”
Teams are asked to raise a minimum of £50 per person in donations from friends and family which will go directly to the Prince’s Trust to help to give practical and financial support to the young people who need it most.
