Local cricket club bowled over by Acorn support

One of the UK's leading recruitment companies, Acorn, has completed a deal to become the main corporate sponsor of Chepstow Cricket Club for the next three years. The agreement will see the UK-wide recruitment and training company support the Division One club with essentials such as new team kits.
Speaking of the deal, head of permanent recruitment at Acorn, Lewis Fawsitt, said: “Acorn is no stranger to working with the local community and we’re proud of our links with local companies. We were the first business in Wales to become a Corporate Patron of the NSPCC Cymru, and also sponsor the Cardiff Devils.
“Chepstow Cricket Club and Acorn are similar in many ways, not least sharing a strong development and training ethos.
“The Club offers excellent recreation facilities for both adults and children alike. We aim to build a good relationship with the club, and I hope it continues for a long time to come.”
Chepstow Cricket Club continues to produce players of county and national level with two players already selected for Wales for the 2010 season. Most notably, Adrian Dale of Glamorgan and England “A” fame trained with them.
Club chairman, Bob Hepworth, said: “We are delighted to welcome Acorn as the new Corporate Sponsors of Chepstow Cricket Club. With the rising costs of a community sports club, this three year deal allows us to plan for the future and continue to provide outstanding facilities and coaching for young and old.”
Established in 1992, Acorn has 32 branches across the UK and finds jobs for approx 6,000 people every week into some 850 different clients across a range of sectors.
