Mike Ruddock and Acorn
Acorn Recruitment today paid tribute to Mike Ruddock, who has left the company after more than a year to take on his new role as Director of Rugby at Worcester Rugby Club.
Dan Langford, Acorn’s Group Marketing Director who appointed Mike as Commercial Development Manager in the spring of 2006 said; “Mike has made a significant contribution to the success of Acorn and we wish him every success with his return to the world of rugby.
“To have secured Mike’s services was a tremendous coup for our company. He brought particular skills and abilities as well as enormous respect earned during his days as one of the world’s top rugby coaches.
“In particular, Mike brought a great spirit to his work; engaging and motivating both clients and staff, which continues to stand us in good stead.
“And unsurprisingly given Acorn’s close involvement with the world of sport, as a long-term sponsor and supporter, we will continue to maintain a close relationship with Mike.”
Mike said, “Acorn has been one of the outstanding business successes in Wales during the last decade. During my time at the business, it continued to expand and now enjoys success across the UK.
“Whilst working at Acorn I have been particularly impressed by the way colleagues throughout the business not only work for each other but also the exceptional way they look after their customers – it’s no wonder that Acorn continues to be successful, it’s a terrific company to work for and a professional, reliable company to work with. I look forward to watching Acorn continue to prosper – albeit from the sidelines.
“I am very grateful to Matt, Dan and everyone else at Acorn for allowing me to gain valuable commercial experience; I’ve had a thoroughly enjoyable time with Acorn and have learnt a lot, and I’m sure the experience will benefit me long into the future.”
