New BOLT-ON branch makes it 38 for Acorn!
Acorn, one of the country’s fastest growing recruitment and training companies, is to strengthen its presence in the North West of England with the opening of its 38th branch in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Acorn places some 5,500 people into more than 1,100 different client companies each week, and provides more than 1,500 permanent placements and trains more than 3,000 people each year.
The Acorn branch at Navigation Business Park, The Valley, Bolton, is its eighth in North West England and North East Wales, joining others in Runcorn, Birkenhead, Preston, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Flint and Wrexham.
The office is a specialist division that sits within the Group’s permanent recruitment team – specialising in placing staff within the construction and design sector - and is launched to reflect Acorn’s confidence in the future of the region’s economy.
Office Manager Zoey Buckingham said, “Bolton is a first-class business location, located within 20 minutes of central Manchester and is in a great position to capitalise on the growth of the Greater Manchester subregional economy.
“Already, Greater Manchester accounts for 48% of the North West’s economy and the region is forecast to benefit from an extra 160,000 jobs over the next decade.
“Bolton is also home to one of the country’s fastest growing universities, with over 8,000 students from more than 70 countries choosing to study in Bolton, so we have the heady mixture of a vibrant economy and highly qualified labour pool.
“Acorn already works with many major employers in the region and is now able to further improve its level of service by having a significant presence in the town.”
Typically the types of personnel to be recruited by Acorn’s Bolton office will be cost managers, project quantity surveyors, quantity surveyors, project managers, programme managers, project control specialists, risk and value managers, health and safety executives, bid managers, contracts managers, expert witnesses, claims administrators and facilities management executives.
Acorn’s major clients in the region include Gleeds Construction Consultants, Turner & Townsend, Mace, Davis Langdon Everest, Cyril Sweett and Veolia Water Solutions
