Acorn rolls out JR training success
A new training initiative has proved an open and shut case for Europe's leading manufacturer of vehicle roller shutter doors.
JR Industries, which has recently moved into a modern new plant in Caerphilly, has completed a major training programme in harness with Wales’s largest recruitment and training provider Acorn.
JR, a longstanding recruitment and training client of Acorn, has put 25 of its staff through a sought-after apprenticeship programme delivered by a team headed by Acorn Training Corporate Development Manager Ann Dwyer.
Ann said, “The success of this project reflects the commitment of both JR Industries and the assessment team of training and development advisors.
“They have helped the staff demonstrate they have the skills and theory to make a real difference to the JR Industries business.”
The achievement has been marked by a presentation to the staff who have successfully gained Modern Apprenticeship qualifications in manufacturing, team leading, warehousing and distribution; and business administration.
Julia Lovegrove, JR Industries Human Resources Manager and Company Secretary, said, “JR Industries is committed to delivering a full package of training initiatives to our workforce, a process we firmly believe underpins our business performance.
“We have forged a strong and successful relationship with Acorn over many years and are pleased with the outcome of the latest 25 Modern Apprenticeships.”
