Concept sails into English Riviera
Concept Staffing, the leading local West Country recruitment company with a £21m turnover and 500-strong client list, has expanded into Torquay.
In response to increasing market demand, Concept has secured a major new high-street presence in the English Riviera town.
Its new branch at Fleet Street, Torquay, joins the portfolio of 9 other branches in Devon and 17 in the West Country operated by North Devon-based Concept, which is part of the UK-wide Acorn group of recruitment and training companies.
Branch Manager Jane Hunt, a well-known recruitment professional in the Torquay area has recently joined Concept Staffing to head up the firm’s presence in the town.
She said, “Torquay has been a target of Concept for some time, based on the expectations of the regional employment market and recognition that Concept could provide a much-improved recruitment service for local employers and job-seekers alike.
“We wanted to ensure Concept had the right location and best personnel in place before embarking on this significant investment, and we’re delighted to announce that we have been able to secure an accessible location and quality, recognised recruitment professionals from the outset.

The branch comes under the control of Area Sales Manager Noel Hoare, who has also recently set up a new branch in Newton Abbot managed by Dan Whitely..
Initially, Concept’s Torquay branch will concentrate on providing temporary and permanent staff in the commercial, catering, industrial and driving sectors.
