Higher Apprenticeships in Business & Administration
Apprentices who are undertaking the Business & Professional Administration Higher Apprenticeship are expected to have significant experience if working in a business role to ensure they have the suitable foundations on which to further build their knowledge and skills. Higher apprentices will work in roles such as office managers, administration team leaders, personal assistants or business development executives. At this level, tasks may include overseeing operational activities, implementing change within organisations, managing teams, monitoring risk and agreeing budgets.
The apprenticeship consists of qualifications that are included in the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW) and provides a flexible approach to learning through the selection of units and credits. The qualifications can be achieved through a mixture of portfolio building, observation, assessment and knowledge and understanding questioning.
The qualifications within the apprenticeship include:
- Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration
- Level 4 HNC Diploma in Business or Level 4 Diploma in Business and Administrative Management
- Essential Skills (Wales)
- Level 2 in Communication
- Level 2 in Application of Number
- Level 2 IT
