Board Member
Renumeration: £4,000 pa plus travel expenses
Time Commitment: 14 days total per annum.
Comprised of Board meetings, Committee meetings, strategy days and preparation for each.
We are working in partnership with Cardiff Community Housing Association in the appointment of a new Board Member. CCHA is a long-standing housing association with strong links to the local communities within Cardiff and is striving to improve the diversity of its leadership and across the sector.
This new appointment will be instrumental in ensuring the effective delivery of CCHA’s mission to not only be an excellent landlord for their local communities but also a ‘Community Champion’ & ‘Catalyst for Change’.
Board responsibilities:
- Ensure effective oversight of all CCHA operations and add value to CCHA's mission
- Ensure tenants have a direct link to Board and Tenants' voices are heard at Board level
- Live CCHA's values and ensure they are embedded across the organisation
Experience & skills required:
For this post, we’re looking for a suitably qualified accountant to join CCHA’s skills-based board. You’ll also serve on CCHA’s Audit committee and will actively contribute to the effective management of the company’s finances and risks, whilst ensuring effective governance of the organisation. You’ll be well aligned to CCHA’s mission & values and will be passionate about how CCHA can improve their services and homes for their service users.

We have just under 3,000 homes, predominantly in the eastern region of Cardiff and we have plans for growth. We have a great team of staff ready to take forward CCHA’s vision.
