Comprised of Board meetings, Committee meetings, strategy days and preparation for each.
We are working in partnership with Cardiff Community Housing Association in the appointment of a new Board Member. CCHA is a long-standing housing association with strong links to the local communities within Cardiff and is striving to improve the diversity of its leadership and across the sector.
This new appointment will be instrumental in ensuring the effective delivery of CCHA’s mission to not only be an excellent landlord for their local communities but also a ‘Community Champion’ & ‘Catalyst for Change’.
For this post, we’re looking for a suitably qualified accountant to join CCHA’s skills-based board. You’ll also serve on CCHA’s Audit committee and will actively contribute to the effective management of the company’s finances and risks, whilst ensuring effective governance of the organisation. You’ll be well aligned to CCHA’s mission & values and will be passionate about how CCHA can improve their services and homes for their service users.
Whilst we’ve made great progress to improve the diversity of our organisation, we’re aware there is more to be done to ensure that our leadership represents the communities that we serve, therefore we would particularly encourage those from diverse backgrounds or with protected characteristics to apply so we can use your unique perspective to improve our organisation and sector.
I am delighted that you have shown an interest in joining the Board at Cardiff Community Housing Association. It is a fantastic time to join us as we are at the start of a new organisational cultural journey.
We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to providing great affordable homes and fantastic services for the people of Cardiff. We are passionate about working with and for families and individuals that choose Cardiff as their home city. We are a community anchor organisation, recognising the strengths that exist in the communities in which we work.
We are housebuilders and want to be at the cutting edge of delivering much-needed affordable homes across the Cardiff region. We are also keen to reflect the diversity of our communities.
We have just under 3,000 homes, predominantly in the eastern region of Cardiff and we have plans for growth. We have a great team of staff ready to take forward CCHA’s vision.
The culture at CCHA is fun, friendly and open where people are trusted and empowered to make decisions and to be creative. We listen to our tenants and staff involving them in decisions to drive the organisation forward. If you are a person who is motivated to deliver the best for people and make a difference for communities in Cardiff, then CCHA is the organisation for you. There is much more to say about CCHA!
