In October 2019 Acorn's construction arm was awarded 'Legacy Winner' by our client Willmott Dixon, on the basis of how our collaborative team listen to the demands of the changing workplace and facilitates longstanding partnerships that give back.
We partner with organisations that are forces for social good, from the Wallich and Inspire 2 Work to Wales' Prison Service, our initiatives are fighting to rehabilitate ex-offenders and prevent homelessness.

In October 2018, Acorn's managing director Matt Southall was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 South Wales Argus Business Awards.
In December 2018, Acorn recruiter crowned UK best for second year running. Kristy Potter picked up an unprecedented second pair of awards at the prestigious Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP).
In May 2018, Acorn's Marketing Department was named the Best Marketing Team within the whole of the UK's recruitment industry at the prestigious Recruiter Awards.
That same week, Acorn's Marketing & Communications Director, Dan Langford, received the 'Directors Pick' IOD Wales Award for his work on Wales Week in London, which promotes Welsh businesses and professionals in the capital city.
In 2017, Acorn’s Kristy Moore, Chippenham Branch Manager and one of our specialist Permanent Consultants, won ‘Permanent Recruiter of the Year’ and the overall award of the evening ‘Recruiter of the Year’ at the National IRP Recruitment Awards.
During the same awards ceremony, Acorn’s Group Commercial Director Scott Liddle and the Group’s Marketing team were also shortlisted in the Business Leader of the Year and Best Support Team categories respectively.
Also in 2017, Acorn’s Group Commercial Director, Scott Liddle, was awarded IOD Wales Director of the Year Award for the Medium / Large Business category.
Scott was also named Leader in the Private Sector at the Leading Wales Awards in 2016.
At the 2017 Leading Wales Awards, Maria Larcombe, Acorn’s Director of Operations for South Wales, was highly commended within the Women in Leadership category, and Dave Sadler, our Head of IT & Digital Recruitment, was shortlisted in the Leadership for the Future award.
