Acorn by Synergie appoints Principal Consultant for technology under its new brand, S&You
Tom Derbyshire will help leading recruiter connect top talent with impactful roles across the technology sector UK wide
Acorn by Synergie has appointed Tom Derbyshire as its first Principal Consultant under its newly launched brand focusing on the specialist permanent recruitment of high calibre permanent and contracting talent, S&You.
S&You is a specialist team of dedicated consultants sourcing exceptional talent for businesses looking for high-level employees in accountancy and finance, technology, legal, health and life sciences and other premium sectors.
Previously general manager at a recruitment company in New Zealand, Tom will focus on contracting work within the technology sector as part of Acorn by Synergie’s newest division, and brings two decades of recruitment industry experience with him to the role.
As the first consultant to be directly appointed into the new team, he said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining S&You as a new team with a specialist focus on high calibre talent in all sectors. My task is to build on our offering around technology contractors and, having built several similar practices in the past, I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”
Having moved to the UK from his previous role with Finite920 Recruitment Solutions in New Zealand, the University of Auckland graduate has also worked in Singapore and Hong Kong, and will draw on a global knowledge of technology recruitment to support further growth within the sector on behalf of S&You.
As such, he will work alongside other S&You team members to gain an in-depth understanding of the cultural and hiring needs of a wide range of existing and new business clients looking for strong applicants at the top of their game in all sectors professionally moving forward.
