At Acorn, it’s about more than getting people into work.

We are committed to helping the communities we serve and have established partnerships with organisations that are forces for social good, from homelessness The Wallich and School of Hard Knocks to HM’s Prison Service.

Our initiatives are successfully rehabilitating ex-offenders and preventing homelessness, increasing the representation of women in construction and helping the long term unemployed back into work.

We’ve placed 40 ex-offenders into permanent construction, manufacturing and engineering roles since 2017, creating £1,013,640 Gross Value Add* for the economy, and cutting the cost of re-offending by £427,990**.

Our process is proven. And our clearly marked pathways take the work out of your hands to ensure that your organisation engages those candidates furthest from the job market, and leaves no stone left unturned when granting opportunities to be part of the projects shaping our future, no matter their size.

Success stories

“I would say to any woman thinking of a job in construction to just go for it. No day is the same and I couldn’t work with a better bunch of people.''
