The UK will leave the EU at 11pm on 31 January 2020. It is important that our European workers apply for ‘Settled’ or ‘Pre-settled’ status to ensure that they can continue to live and work in the UK after Brexit. The application process is free, quick and easy and approximately 3 million EU workers have already successfully applied.
‘Settled’ status will apply to you if you have been resident in the UK continuously for more than 5 years and ‘Pre-settled’ status will apply to you if have been resident in the UK for less than 5 years. The application process is the same for both ‘Settled’ and ‘Pre-settled’ status.
If you are granted ‘Settled’ status, you will be able to stay in the UK indefinitely.
If you’re granted ‘Pre-settled status’, you can stay in the UK for a further 5 years from the date your ‘Pre-settled’ status is granted.

If you require assistance in completing your application, please contact your local Acorn branch. You will be able to access the computer in your local branch to apply if you don’t have access to a computer, laptop or smart phone and our consultants will help explain the process to you.
We hope that you choose to complete the application process to stay within the UK, and that you continue to work for Acorn and our clients post-Brexit.
