Acorn is working in partnership with Transport for Wales Rail Services to support their recruitment drive for a number of Trainee Train Conductors across Chester and Machynlleth.
No previous rail experience? No problem as Transport for Wales offer a comprehensive training programme which will prepare you for all that may come your way.
Now is a great time to join Transport for Wales as they are busy and full of energy whilst embarking on this historic transformation; and as a Trainee Train Conductor you could be an important part of the journey.
We are keen to hear from individuals that have experience in excellent customer service, managing difficult situations, health & safety awareness as well as lots of resilience!
You will need to be flexible towards working hours, reside within one hour of your chosen depot and be safety critical.
In return, you’ll be offered intensive training for 26 weeks which will offer you a wealth of learning and development opportunities as well as a competitive pension scheme, free rail travel across the Wales & Borders network for you and your dependents, a company-sponsored health care plan and a chance to be part of a new vision for transport, with the people and places of Wales and Borders at the heart of its mission.
