Job Title:Operations Manager
Salary:£30,000 - £45,000 DOE
Location:North Devon

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a strong leader to join a high flying manufacturing organisation as Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will drive forward, improve and manage all operations aspects of the North Devon business. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be providing production and engineering information to that forum as well as playing a key role in the setting and achieving of overall business objectives.

Responsibilities Include:
*Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and manage employees
*Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions
*Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
*Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
*Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping

Essential Experience Required:
*Proven manufacturing experience including people management is essential; able to demonstrate previous experience and success in managing the full operations function
*Experience gained within a Lean/ Continuous Improvement environment, together with a good understanding of budgetary control and management within production, services, engineering and logistics preferable
*Excellent people management skills including communication, training and leadership ability
