This is a key position at Vortex IoT and will require a candidate who has demonstrated success in solutions selling into large organisations. Your ability to navigate complex organisations, demonstrating cultural and business awareness will be key to your success. Although we are not necessarily seeking someone with a software or sensor background you will have to learn, understand and of course explain our solution portfolio and independently provide support to your customers.
*Developing a sales funnel by qualifying new opportunities on a defined list of targeted accounts
*Maintaining momentum in pursuing / managing the sales timeline
*Developing a thorough understanding of the solution to the point of becoming an expert in explaining it along with its full value
*Ability to identify key partners and ecosystem stakeholders to achieve sales targets
*Coordinating effectively with all internal stakeholders: technical team, delivery & SMT
*Provide accurate and dependable revenue projections to the management
*Working closely with the Board, developing a strong relationship in order to provide transparency with regard to numbers - there should be no surprises - as well as providing insightful market intelligence to assist with sales strategy e.g. understanding and reporting on local market trends and competitors
*Development of a sales strategy, including market segmentation, channels to market and compensation plans
*Represent the business at tradeshows
Essential Experience Required:
*5 years'+ experience selling complex hardware, telecom or software solutions to large accounts, along with a technical or business background giving you the ability to quickly learn new solutions and technologies
*You will be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to work in a 'hands on' manner, but also have the ability to lead from the front, and build and lead a successful sales team. You will be able to show that you are able to manage and critically mentor and develop junior talent
*You are autonomous, self-driven and able to find and engage required resources if needed
*Successful sales professional with high level personal standards and strong communication skills
*You've always been able to overachieve your sales quota; you are results driven with a strong ability to rapidly drive the tactics to accomplish sales objectives
*Comfortable with a very high level of both national, and in time, international travel with minimal office time
*A similar experience in working with emerging technologies is desirable
*You will enjoy a degree of ambiguity, and be keen to learn, enjoying a rapidly evolving situation.
*You will be motivated by making a positive impact on the company's growth, and driven by the opportunity to become an integral part a successful, fast-growing company
Salary and Benefits:

The role will be based initially in Swansea but that location will not be a barrier for the right candidate due to the anticipated high level of travel required.
