Purpose of the role
Efficiently direct the activities of resources in producing Sales Office Drawings and detailed Design Drawings of products, to support the commercial propositions presented to the companies customers.
Support the Operations Department with the timely release of design packages for procurement and manufacture to support the Project plan.
Post will require:
*Ability to interpret and direct the design and draughting of cost competitive customer project designs to support the commercial propositions for customers
*Ability to update and develop the project design cost database used by both the Frome Design Office.
*High level of proficiency with 2D / 3D CAD - Autodesk Inventor and Advanced Steel and the ability to align outputs from these with the wider needs of the company
*Exceptional internal and external communication skills
Duties will include but not be limited to:
*Under the direction of the company, for each site, compile a consistently formatted Project plan that will show and demonstrate:
-Accurate interpretation of customer requirements in drawn form
-Correctly costed estimates of design proposals
-A detailed Project plan for the delivery of agreed contracted works won by the company
-Delivery of design packages for procurement and manufacture to the agreed programme
-Successful performance of actual against estimated project outcomes
-Contribution to Operational capabilities and cost down programmes
*Issue progress reports as directed that show overall performance against project programmes and highlights/resolves constraints.
Due to location its a must you have your own transport
