A high-tech solution provider that specialise in building complex test systems (both hardware and software) to support and solve problems in the aerospace and defence industry are seeking a pro-active technical Sales Manager to take on an end to end Sales management position that involves prospecting, lead generating, managing bids, tender submissions, networking at a high level as the Sales Manager for the company, contract negotiation and client pitching.
A Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Pre-Sales Consultant or similar individual that has excelled within a technical sales position selling bespoke solutions and/or services would thrive in this role. They have warm relationships in place for new deals to be negotiated which you will be part of but also need an individual that will prospect for new business amongst a small network of potential clients. Ultimately as the sales manager for this position, you need to have a technical edge in order to understand the complex capability of their engineering in order to be confident with new clients in selling what can be delivered. Everything they do/sell is bespoke therefore a Sales Manager that has a technical mindset selling solutions is ideal.
As Sales Manager you will be selling the mechanical solutions, the software and the service that our client provides to test electronic components of complex machines across a variety of industries. The Sales Manager will need to show a strong history of business development; a true passion for winning business, be driven and autonomous and able to build long lasting relationships using a consultative approach with your clients. Experience navigating the blockers found in complex organisations is essential, you will need to influence decision makers and develop successful bids to win new business.
Sales Manager Responsibilities Include:
*Owning and growing a range of Key UK based accounts enhancing relationships with the customer
*Achieving and exceeding sales targets
*Take control of the bid process at every stage to win new business
*Prospect and identify new business / solution opportunities
*Proven track record of exceeding Targets and evidence of this
*A consultative, technical, approach to sales meeting customers face to face and not just on the phone
*A history of working in a similar role in the electrical engineering industry
*A degree in an engineering/science related subject
*Knowledge of the Aerospace, Energy, Defence or Space industries
*£45,000 - £65,000 DOE + 20% Bonus OTE £55,000 plus
