Job Description
A high-tech solution provider that specialise in building complex test systems (both hardware and software) to support and solve problems in the aerospace and defence industry is seeking a pro-active Hardware Engineer to take control of the design and manufacture of the solutions and concepts our clients provide. You will have complete autonomy of the projects given, which includes technical pre-sales support all the way through to final acceptance with the customer and the long-term project management which will be on going.

An Electronics/hardware Engineer whom has excelled in a similar role in the industry, looking for the opportunity to design bespoke systems for a wide range of applications would thrive in this role, a real opportunity to express the creativity and discipline to fulfil the almost unlimited variety this role presents - everything they do is bespoke.

As Hardware Engineer you will be designing the high-tech products that our client's customers require, that will ensure the varying electrical components are functioning correctly. You will be involved in the initial phases of business capture with the construction of technical architectures and the modelling and feasibility of technical solutions with the customer all the way through to the final acceptance and the successful running and administration of projects.


Electrical/Hardware Engineer Responsibilities Include:

*Design and manufacture of the bespoke testing solutions customers require, up to applicable quality standards
*Responsibility of the entire V cycle of the product, including engaging with appropriate internal & external stakeholders
*Project management

Essential Experience

*Electronics Degree or equivalent
*3 years' experience in hardware engineering role
*Creative flair for design and entrepreneurial mindset
*Development of PCB designs from prototype to end product (or CAD suite)
*Experience of PLD Coding (FPGA, CPLD)
*Electronic design architecture (analogue/digital)
*Experience using oscilloscopes/analysers or similar

Desirable Experience:

*Understanding of other engineering domains (control systems, power, electro-mechanic, physics, radio communications
*Understanding system diagrams and run / read test programs to assist in the diagnostic system failures
