The sea faring life, it's not for everyone.
It's dangerous, I mean, you're at sea. It can be lonely: A 4 week on, 4 week on shift pattern can really make you miss dry land, let alone home.
But… if it is for you it's highly rewarding, offers great adventure with an opportunity to see the world, good fun, lucrative,
A few of my friends have seen more countries than Angelina Jolie has kids, talk of the sea as their home and regard their colleagues as their family. They have nothing but good memories and wouldn't swap that for a job back on dry land.
In order to take advantage of this, you'll need to be either a L3 or Apprentice trained Mechanical Fitter with experience on heavy machinery and hydraulic systems. Any offshore tickets would certainly be an advantage and a valid passport is obviously a must.
What's on offer?
A market leading pay rate whilst nearshore, an uplift while offshore, 4 weeks off when you return in which you can take up workshop work or explore your own interests, and the genuine opportunity to explore the world.
Sound like fun?
