Have you grown up or been involved in the local communities in which CCHA serve? Are you an advocate for ensuring local community voices are heard?
Acorn Recruitment's Executive Search team are working in strategic partnership with Cardiff Community Housing Association in the appointment of two new board members. CCHA are a long-standing housing association with strong links to the local communities within Cardiff and it would therefore be very advantageous to be from their local areas.
These two new appointments will be instrumental in ensuring the effective delivery of CCHA's mission to not only be an excellent landlord for their local communities but also a 'Community Champion' & 'Catalyst for Change'.
Renumeration: £4,000 pa plus travel expenses
Time Commitment: Circa 8 days per annum
1 Ensure effective oversight of all CCHA operations & add value to CCHA's mission
2 Ensure tenants have a direct link to Board and tenants' voices are heard at Board level
3 Live CCHA's values and ensure they are embedded across the organisation
Experience & skills required:
For this campaign, we are looking for a host of skills & experience that will bring balance to the existing board. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals from an accounting or treasury management background. We are equally keen to hear from those who work tirelessly for the communities in which CCHA have the majority of their homes e.g. Butetown, Splott and Tremorfa and Adamsdown
We would also welcome individuals with a background in one or more of the following areas:
* Property / Contract management
* Repairs & maintenance
* Health & Safety
* Welsh Government/Local Authority Policy
* Legal Services
* Tenant Services & Experience
CCHA's main aim is to appoint people who care and are passionate about how CCHA can deliver its commitments to communities across Cardiff.
