Job Description
Acorn Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Director of Operations for our client based in Newport.

Our client is a membership organisation with circa 200 members throughout Wales, and this post along with the senior leadership team will be responsible for the effective management and strategic direction of all internal support functions.

This is a new and full-time position to be based in Newport but will have flexible and hybrid working. We're offering a salary between £45,000 - £50,000 per annum and this comes with 27 days holiday, cycle to work scheme, generous contributory pension scheme and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

* Play a key leadership role within the organisation supporting the delivery of their strategy, operational objectives, values and vision
* Manage a number of key internal functions whilst maintaining and developing an inclusive culture
* Ensure the organisation is compliant with policies and procedures and develop reporting to monitor progress against their strategic priorities and objectives
* Proactively manage a range of internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that external suppliers and contracts are delivered to the highest quality
* Monitor and review internal processes to ensure maximum efficiency and identify areas of improvement. Ensure all activity is thoroughly reported including the organisations financial obligations.
* Ensure good governance across the organisation and take a proactive approach in managing risks.

Core Requirements:

* Substantial leadership experience in a general management capacity
* Experience of managing key business support functions, including marketing, communications, accounts and human resources
* Ideally degree level educated
* Good experience of business reporting and financial management
* Sound understanding of corporate governance
* Highly customer focused always ensuring the best possible service and communication
