3-shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)
Monday to Friday
Pay: Up to £20 per hour, plus overtime (DOE)
Contract type: Temporary ongoing / temporary to permanent


A Maintenance Technician is required in Exeter for an unmissable long-term, ongoing temporary opportunity, which may lead to a permanent contract.

You will be joining a global leader in engineered metals, working a 3-shift pattern. This company offers generous holiday allowance from day one, as well as an extensive employee benefits package. The role will become permanent for the right individual.


Candidate requirements:

* Carryout Repairs and undertake preventative maintenance to buildings and services
* Undertake the installation and movement of machinery and equipment
* Identify potential faults and support improvements
* Perform minor building and plumbing repairs as required
* Ability to work proactively to a high standard using your own initiative as part of the shift patterns including some lone working
* Assist team with general labour, forklift driving and use of access equipment
* The shift pattern is on a 3 weeks rotation, early, late and night
* Resilient, resourceful with good judgement and decision-making skills


Main responsibilities of the role:

* Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing re occurrences
* Working with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment. Using a Maintenance Management System carry out Preventative/ planned maintenance work
* Help identify and support improvements to increase reliability of equipment and reduce reoccurring faults
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Ensure that all Company policies relating to EHS are followed
* Maintain and enhance job knowledge through training
* Ability to work at height and in confines spaces
* Previous experience in relevant disciplines including plumbing, carpentry and basic building skills
