This role requires person with experience of delivering a professional HR service.
Opportunity for current admin support to step into HR team. Possible permanent role for the right candidate
The applicant will need to be highly organised, have a good knowledge of employee relations, HR processes and policies and systems. Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, best practice and internal procedures.
Key responsibilities:
* Be the first line of contact for employees, supervisors and managers across the business.
* Responding to queries, written/email/phone communication
* Ensuring that policies, processes and systems are fully up to date
* Review and implement HR policies and documentation including forms, in line with employment legislation and best practice.
Employee relations:
* Managing cases such a conduct matters, capability and other relations. Maintain records to ensure there are in line with GDPR
* Support and coach the supervisors and managers and provide employment law advice
HR service performance:
* Preparation of payroll information, checking of the monthly payroll file.
* Leading and producing the weekly and monthly HR metrics, Responsible for the administration of new starters/leavers
* Maintain the systems for personnel files, ensuring employment legislation and confidentiality is compiled with at all times.
Requirements:
* Demonstrable experience in a generalist HR advisory role or HR consultant/admin
* Experience of working within a manufacturing unionised environment is preferred.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to multi task
* Excellent communication skills, able to coach and provide advice on all levels
* Experience with using of HR databases advantageous
* Excellent IT skills with Microsoft office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint, etc)
