Acorn are recruiting for a site administrator on a temp to perm basis for their client based in Ellesmere Port

We're looking for a highly organised individual who is an experienced administrator. You will get the opportunity to develop new skills in lots of areas while maintaining high levels of efficiency and help with continuous improvements across the site. This is a very active role that requires a strong understanding of prioritising, and a confident communicator dealing with queries. You will report to the Office Manager who oversees all administration and HR duties on the site and be part of a small team. Supporting many aspects of the business such as accounting, HR, operations as well are other various stakeholders in the company.

Duties of the role:

Handle and organise post
Take deliveries and greet visitors to site
Answer the phone, navigating people to the right department and dealing with queries
Ensure the office building is maintained, clean and organised
Stock checks for PPE, stationary and welfare items
Check our welfare facilities are functional and organise repairs/maintenance where needed
Point of call for utilities and planned services
Maintain and update the site calendar
Run checks through our clocking in system
Scan and archive documentation for the site
Arrange couriers and deliveries
Support the Office Manager with day to day running and queries
Lead the purchasing process and invoicing checks
Lead on process improvement projects

Essential requirements:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Confident and well organised with excellent understanding of prioritisation
Quick learner
Ability to work well independently as well as being a team player
Microsoft package proficient with exceptional understanding of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Good understanding of processes and improvements - ie. Six sigma, Lean

The hours of work are office based Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

The rate of pay starts at £10.50 per hour.
