Acorn Recruitment is looking for a Software Technician to support their client's engineering team.

Reporting to the Software Manager, you will assist the software department with the development of software solutions by reproducing bugs and performing software transfer testing.

Using your problem-solving skills, you will analyse the information provided when recreating bugs within the software to identify the problem. You will test software solutions to ensure that the new features are working to specification and meet the quality-level required from our customers, liaising with the developers, the team manager and the system test department.

Role requirements:

* Appropriate knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Windows Operating System
* Proactive problem-solving skills
* Be a strong communicator
* A team player but also happy to work alone
* Excellent computer skills

Duration: 12-month contract
Hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Friday
Pay: £11-£12 per hour DOE, plus a generous holiday allowance and benefits package
