Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of their client at Port Talbot Steelworks for a Scrap Inspector on a temporary to permanent contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well - known Steelworks subcontractor with a wealth of experience in environmental services & scrap recycling.



Duties & responsibilities for this position include:

* Identifying the difference between ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, wood, and plastic.
* Grade and assess the scrap being delivered - identify dirt and non-conductive material.
* Complete reports relating to scrap delivered and stock checks.


Applicants must have a full UK driving licence, and a CCNSG Site Safety Passport or the ability to obtain one. Successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment medical examination & substance abuse test.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 10 hours a day (OT 1.5 payable after 8 hours), with 30 days annual leave. Salary expectations are £31,000 - £32,000 per annum and additional quarterly bonus
