Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant, working at their client premises based in Caerphilly, Wales.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Prepayments
* Accruals & balance sheet reconciliations associated with management accounts preparation
* Calculation of depreciation, exchange rate adjustments and rebates on monthly basis
* Preparation and communication of monthly overhead variance reports
* Preparation of overhead budgets for input into the main P&L budget
* Monitoring and reconciliation of Invoice Discounting facility
* Overseeing weekly payroll process
* Weekly labour reporting with variances to standards
* Weekly stock reconciliations
* Preparation of monthly VAT return
* Quarterly Plastic Packaging Tax returns
Cover for other team members to include:
* Weekly payroll,
* Bank reconciliations & purchase ledger
* IT literacy is essential and experience of working with Microsoft Excel and integrated finance/ERP IT systems is required
