We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join adynamic legal team as Head of Conveyancing and work from the Exeter office.
Job Overview:
This is an exciting and challenging role that requires an experienced individual to provide our legal team with comprehensive property law advise and assistance. The successful candidate will be a competent and thorough conveyancing professional with exceptional technical knowledge and expertise as well as a thorough understanding of the industry practices and best processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will include, but not be limited to:
* Oversee all existing conveyancing clients cases, verify accurate records.
* Ensure swiftly and accurate completion of conveyancing related legal work from Contracts, Memorandom of Sale and Transfer of Title to the applicable legal documents for property related transactions.
* Prepare and review all conveyancing paperwork, including Land Registry Forms, Contracts and Transfer of Title.
* Process Land Registry Applications.
* Negotiate and draft residential and commercial property transaction documents.
* Liaise with stakeholders, such as banks, lenders, clients, solicitors and other legal professionals to ensure smooth completion of legal transactions.
* Handle client enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
* Provide guidance and promote best practice for conveyancing related matters.
* Represent and represent our legal firm in court and outside hearings.
* Assist the administration team with client maintenance, filing records, engagement letters etc.
Skills Requirements:
* Qualified legal professional and membership of the relevant professional body.
* Degree or similar qualifications in conveyancing.
* 5+ years of experience as a eligible conveyancer and solid practical know how.
*IGenuine passion for and understanding of the property law.
* Ability to manage own work streams and keep stakeholder informed.
* Proven verbal and written communication skills.
* High organizational skills and a structured approach to work.
* Good administrative skills.
* Ability to exercise discretion where applicable.
