Acorn by Synergie are seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to maintain their high levels of Safety at their North Devon Site.

Main Scope of the role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the Health & Safety Culture Development, providing support and guidance to Leaders at all levels of the business. They will also be required to ensure that the company is a safe working environment for all employees and activities, using best practice to improve safety and minimise environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure statutory compliance obligations in all areas pertaining to Environmental, health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
* Management of ISO 45001 & 14001 certifications
* Lead the business in cultural continual improvement strategy and development of a positive health, safety and environmental culture
* Managing key Targets and objective and driving a continuous improvement programme
* Managing and development of the Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator
* Leading the Health & Safety Committee to drive best practices and employee engagement
* Lead role in the company's disaster recovery plan for Health Safety & Environmental.
Essential Skills and experience
* Knowledge of Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental regulations is essential
* Experience in manufacturing and engineering businesses would be advantageous.
* NEBOSH National General Certificate.
* Recognised Environmental qualification appropriate to the role.
