Acorn by Synergie, on behalf of their client, are seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Engineer with experience in managing hybrid environments, combining cloud and on premise infrastructure.
You will work with a mix of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and physical servers. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a crucial role in managing and improving their technical environment, ranging from laptops and backend cloud infrastructure to networks, firewalls, and security administration. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 CE, and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring their efficiency, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Cloud Management
- Manage, maintain, and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps processes, source control, and automation.
- Monitor and optimise cloud environments, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365 CE, ensuring peak performance, scalability, and security.
- Deploy and configure Azure services, storage, and networking components.
- Administer Azure Entra, Office 365, and on-premises Active Directory (AD) for user and group management.
- Ensure all systems and components are updated and patched in line with manufacturer release cycles.
- Oversee regular backups and support data protection, disaster recovery, and failover processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across the IT environment.
- Collaborate on the implementation of new projects and solutions to meet business goals.
- Stay current with industry best practices and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Infrastructure Management
- Administer Windows servers, domain controllers, and AD/DNS systems.
- Configure and manage Intune for device management.
- Monitor and maintain networks, Wi-Fi, VLAN, and firewall configurations.
- Troubleshoot and manage TCP/IP, DNS, and general network issues.
- Oversee essential IT operations, including operating systems, applications, servers, email systems, mobile devices, hardware, and virtualisation (both on-prem and in Azure).
- Continuously work to automate and optimise systems to improve business performance.
- Desktop Support
- Provide desktop support to end users, resolving hardware and software issues.
- Automate, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Create and maintain documentation for business users to support self-service solutions.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in a Cloud Infrastructure role within a hybrid environment.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, PowerApps, Power Automate, and PowerFlow.
- Experience with Windows 10/11, Server 2019, virtualisation, and Office 365.
- In-depth knowledge of system and network software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Certifications in Microsoft and/or other network-related fields.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online.
- Proficiency in Azure Data Services, PowerPlatform, and Microsoft Cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL, Service Integration Services (SSIS), and Power BI or similar dashboarding tools.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards.
