Yeo Valley and Acorn Recruitment appeal for staff to help keep dairy on shelves

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented increase in demand for food and household products.

At Yeo Valley, we’re working around the clock to help ensure families have access to the dairy items they need. To help us step up and meet demand, we’re looking to take on new colleagues across our five sites in Somerset and Devon namely Blagdon, Cannington, Highbridge, Crewkerne and Newton Abbot.

We are looking for Operators, Loaders, Packers and Palletisers for an immediate start to help with the high demand for at least the next twelve weeks. Classed as critical roles by the government, new Yeo Valley colleagues will undertake a rolling shift pattern of ‘four days on and four days off’.

Yeo Valley Head of HR Services, Natalie Keeling said:

I look forward to welcoming many new colleagues to Yeo Valley over the coming days.

"Thank you to everyone offering to help, as we work day and night to keep our products moving toward the shops at this challenging time. The family spirit at Yeo Valley is fantastic and together, we can do our bit in keeping the nation fed.” Natalie continued.

We’re working closely with our recruitment partner, Acorn Recruitment, who have put in place a streamlined recruitment process to speed up applications and get people into work with us as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Acorn Recruitment Operations Director, Noel Hoare said:

We are proud to be a Yeo Valley partner and are committed to helping them keep their fantastic products moving through the supply chain and onto the shelves during this challenging time.

Noel added: "We have already had lots of interest from people who are suddenly out of work or who are just keen to help. We’d like to we urge anyone who hasn’t already been in contact, to get in touch as soon as possible.”
