Welder / Fabricator

£13.00 per hour
Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:15pm, Friday 7:30am - 1:30pm

Acorn Recruitment are working with a long running client seeking a Welder / Fabricator working on steel products over a number of industries, based in Blaenavon. The position will go temporary to permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate.

Job duties:
* Welding plant machinery using a variety of tools and equipment
* Ability to read drawings and recognise welding symbols and specifications

Preferred skills:
* Knowledge of specific welding processes, such as TIG, MIG and ARC
* Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes
* Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
* Knowledge of industry safety practices

Other information:
* Minimum 39 Hour Week before any overtime is paid
* Overtime available
* Time and half for hours worked Monday - Saturday
* Double time for hours worked Sunday
