Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator
Due to rapid expansion, Acorn is looking to recruit a dynamic and forward thinking procurement specialist for their client, a specialist manufacturer based in Chepstow.
*Manage the creation and issue of all company purchase orders and the expediting of those purchase orders to support manufacturing and project activities
*Obtain small scale issuance of quotations and bidding programs, building competence to own small scale programs.
*Work alongside finance to support timely supplier payments bringing innovative solutions into the supply chain.
*Undertake supplier relationship management activities and purchase order expediting
*Negotiate prices and lead times with suppliers for manufactured and project goods and services
*As a Procurement lead for small scale business programs within the company
*Support the initial set up of IFS within the procurement function and then training out to the wider company business
*On-going management of the set-up of supplier records and supplier for purchase part information in the company ERP system for existing and new activities
*Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
*Good numeracy and IT skills including MS and databases
*Willingness to learn
*Undergraduate degree (1st, 2nd class) ideally in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or Business Management with a Logistics and Supply Chain focus or equivalent experience gained in a similar role
*You may be required to undertake Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Qualification
