Acorn by Synergie is proudly recruiting on behalf of our well-established client for a talented and experienced Finance Manager/ Head of Finance to join their senior leadership team based in Skelmersdale.

This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a high-profile role with full responsibility for financial operations, reporting, and team leadership. You'll work closely with the Managing Director and be a key player in shaping the financial strategy and future success of the business.

The Role:

As the Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, from treasury operations to statutory reporting, while leading and developing a dedicated finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all accounting processes.

- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity through effective treasury oversight.

- Deliver timely financial reports to the Managing Director and senior stakeholders.

- Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and year-end statutory accounts.

- Support strategic decisions with insightful financial analysis.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal controls.

- Continuously improve finance processes and systems to drive operational excellence.

- Line manage three direct reports

- Act as the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and external partners.

- Proven experience in a financial leadership role, in a fast-paced sector.

- Strong understanding of treasury management, financial controls, and reporting frameworks.

- Confident team leader with a hands-on approach and excellent mentoring skills.

- Ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.
