Location: Ilminster
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm-10:00pm
Friday finish at 8:30pm
Contract Type: Permanent (from day one)
A leading recruitment partner is currently working on behalf of a global nutrition manufacturer based in Ilminster to recruit a Technical Machine / Engineering Operative for their late shift operations.

Role Responsibilities:
- Operate, set up, and maintain high-tech manufacturing equipment
- Ensure products meet strict quality and specification standards
- Accurately interpret technical drawings and production instructions
- Utilise the internal ERP system for all production-related functions
- Identify and troubleshoot machinery issues, taking appropriate corrective actions
- Maintain compliance with internal procedures, food/feed safety regulations, and quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency across production lines
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with technical or mechanical machinery
- A hands-on, problem-solving approach
- A good understanding of IT systems, ideally with ERP software familiarity
- A strong sense of teamwork, attention to detail, and reliability
