Job Description:
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks that align with organisational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across all departments.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, providing insights into governance performance.
- Lead and manage internal audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Advise on best practices in risk management and governance within the public sector.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance training programmes.
- Monitor and update policies to reflect changes in legislation or organisational needs.
The Successful Applicant:
- Experience in governance, risk, or compliance within the public sector.
- Has previously managed a team and had direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management principles.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A relevant qualification in governance, risk, or a related field.
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively.

- A competitive salary ranging from £44,709 to £53,347 per annum.

- Flexible working, 2 to 3 days in office.
- Generous holiday leave of 25 days rising to 30 after 4 years, along with 11.5 public and privilege holidays in addition.
