Maintenance Engineer - Night Shift

• Location: Ilfracombe, North Devon.
• Salary: Competitive PLUS night shift premium.
• Job Type: Temporary, approx. 12 months.

About the role:

Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their clients skilled team in Ilfracombe. This is a night shift position, with the primary focus on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial equipment in the manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain industrial equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems.
• Replace faulty parts and components.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer on industrial equipment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Experience in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:

This is a night shift position, working 8-hour shifts 23:45 - 07:45, Tuesday-Saturday, with occasional overtime required.
