Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Yeovil and currently seeking a skilled stone cutter to join their team. Their company specialises in creating high-quality stone products such as paving, cladding & walling, cobbles/pavers, decorative gravel, feature stones

As a skilled stone cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and shaping various stone materials to create beautiful and functional products. You will also work closely with our team of semi skilled stone cutters, wood cutters, and metal cutters to ensure a smooth production process.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in cutting stone/wood or metal products.
• Knowledge of different types of materials and their characteristics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with cutting machinery and tools.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Cut and shape stone materials to specific measurements and designs.
• Operate stone cutting machinery and hand tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Work with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Communicate any issues or concerns with production to the supervisor.
• Assure the quality and accuracy of all finished products.
