HGV Driver / Loader

Barnstaple | £13.69 per hour | Full-Time | Temporary Ongoing

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced HGV Driver to join a busy team in Barnstaple, working with a well-respected waste and recycling services provider.

If you hold a Class 1 or Class 2 licence and are confident navigating residential areas, this could be a great opportunity for you.

The Role:

• Operate curb-side refuse/recycling collection vehicles across the local area.
• Load and assist with collections as required.
• Work as part of a team delivering an essential public service.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence.
• Up-to-date CPC qualification.
• Good local knowledge of Barnstaple and surrounding areas.
• Comfortable manoeuvring large vehicles in tight residential streets.
• Previous experience in the waste or recycling sector (beneficial but not essential).

Pay & Benefits:

• £13.69 per hour.
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
• Ongoing temporary assignment with the possibility of extension.
• On-site induction and training provided.
• Weekly pay & online payslips.
• 28 days' paid annual leave (pro-rata for PAYE).
