Forklift Driver / Production Operative

Chard | £12.21 per hour (starting rate) | Full-Time | Monday to Thursday | No Weekends

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Forklift Driver / Production Operative to join their busy foundry team in Chard. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking long-term, full-time work with genuine progression opportunities and a great work-life balance.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Thursday: 06:45am - 5pm.
• No weekend working.
• Overtime available.

Pay Rate:

• Starting from £12.21 per hour.
• Weekly pay.

The Role:

• Working in a foundry environment.
• Moulding and finishing (fettling) metal castings.
• General lifting and manual handling.
• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck.
• Supporting production and maintaining health & safety standards.

Requirements:

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
