Health and Safety Advisor

Plymouth | £24.35 per hour | Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (37 hours) | Temporary (6-Month Contract)

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a well-respected and recognised Home Management Company based in Plymouth. This is a 6-month temporary placement - ideal for a qualified Health and Safety professional looking to gain valuable experience with a leading organisation.

Essential Requirements:

• NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Certified or Chartered Member of IOSH.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven experience in advisory-level H&S roles.

About the Role:

As Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation meets all statutory and non-statutory Health and Safety obligations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing expert health and safety advice across the business.
• Developing, maintaining and reviewing risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Supporting managers and staff at all levels with guidance and operational support.
• Collaborating with trade unions to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identifying and assessing risks, and recommending appropriate control measures.
• Analysing accident and incident statistics, and introducing preventative strategies.
• Liaising with the HSE and other enforcement bodies on compliance-related matters.
