Acorn by Synergie is hiring Mobile Plant Operators for an innovative engineering company based in the Avonmouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a varied, rewarding career while travelling to sites across the UK.

The Role:

• Operate, maintain, and optimise mobile processing equipment across multiple UK sites.
• Work a 10-days on, 4-days off shift pattern (06:00-18:00).
• Travel and overnight stays required - all accommodation and expenses covered.
• Use a company van (provided) to travel between sites.
• Support Service Engineers and complete tasks independently where required.
• Follow all site safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain high-speed mobile plant equipment.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
• Assist in assembling and disassembling equipment on-site.
• Provide guidance to subcontractors and trainees (post-training).
• Complete accurate documentation and comply with all safety protocols.

The Person:

• Experience working with mechanical and/or electrical plant or machinery.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, sometimes in remote locations.
• Flexible to work night shifts and weekends where required.
• Strong customer focus and communication skills.
• Comfortable working away from home for up to 10 days at a time.
• Full manual UK driving licence (ideally clean).
• Forklift and/or Telehandler licence (advantageous but not essential).
• Background in water treatment or process industries (desirable but not essential).

What's On Offer:

• Salary: Starting from £25,500 with progression to £31,000, plus overtime and night shift allowances.
• OTE: Up to £43,000+ with 12-hour shift earnings and average take-home around £48,000 per year.
• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (Mon-Sat) and 2x (Sun & Bank Holidays) after 85 hrs/fortnight.
• Shift Pattern: 10 days on / 4 days off with alternating weekends.
